Patched and sewn with bias trim -I should have taken a bit more time to line up the stitching underneath right....and a button with loop closure.
I added a zipper to the pocket inside, I wanted to be able to secure items within it.
This is a great project for students to learn and apply:

- foldlines
- topstitching
- bias binding
- patchwork.
A fat quarter will be enough for linings and pockets with the patchwork as a stash buster project.
I used a medium weight iron on interfacing but I would recommend something firmer to provide the body it needs. This wallet is a bit 'floppy' with some coins inside and it like to fold over again where the cards meet in the middle. I'd go for a firm interfacing and to enable it to fold cut it along the fold line and use a light weight interfacing strip ironed on between the firm to firm a book spine as it were.

....sorry about the blur...cut firm interfacing as pattern requires. cut a thin interfacing strip about 10cm wide

On the non adhesive side, the gap allows the interfacing to fold with ease

folded easily but provides firm support
