...I left school on Friday arvo keen to cut out the next bag in my challenge.
....and then opportunity knocked...
Saturday - The family trailer was empty, brother was free, and I was sick of tripping over boxes of fancy china stacked in the kitchen from my parents home... Time to move the big dresser to my house!
HEAVY BIG PIECES OF FURNITURE ARE HARD TO MOVE DOWN STAIRS!
My brother and I shuffled and dragged and slowly made our way down the stairs, into the trailer and then drove to my house...and then....
I repeated the process (thank goodness I don.''t need to use the stairs to get into Yellow Fibro's kitchen!)
The remainder of the day was spent re-packing the contents of two dressers into this big one! Talk about china and crystal! Some gorgeous pieces, lots, all in fact. many hand painted by Mum - she is a brilliant painter and we have an assortment of Australian flora, fairies, animals, 'cottagey' plants....perfect for those afternoon teas.
Sunday - I had intended to post a freebies and links post as I did last year but the wardrobe hanging rail collapsed again and I could wait no longer.....
It all came out, onto the bed and began crating the IKEA storage system on the wall...
I spent the night on the sofa - and will for a few days more - until I can get to the hardware shop and buy the 56 'wall mates' ( plugs) to pop in the wall because only one of the required 7 vertical rails actually meets the 1950's stud positions - no matter WHAT configuration of shelf spacings I try.....
Just as well 'Elvira' - the sofa's name - is comfy!
